Alianzas estratégicas - "la Caixa" Foundation
To boost our projects, we work together with other organisations throughout the world.
”la Caixa” Foundation, the foremost private foundation in Spain and one of the most important in the world, has been aligned with the principles of the SDGs since it was first set up almost 120 years ago. With the approval of the 2030 Agenda, the institution also played an active role in promoting the need for a more sustainable planet, a task that has earned it various international distinctions.
What we do
We create alliances with major international organisations and foundations to strengthen and raise awareness of our cooperation work in the world, particularly in developing countries, and to enhance the institution's reputation.
Thanks to our strategic alliances, we collaborate with leading international organisations that help us to carry out our main areas of action, namely creating employment, education, promoting philanthropy, global health, research and emergency and humanitarian aid.
From the United States, the representative office of ”la Caixa” Foundation in Washington DC supports the alliances established by the International Area with North American organisations, institutions and foundations.
Our goal
Our aim is to join forces with all those organisations, foundations and other international agents that, like us, believe the whole world should have the same rights and that work, day after day, to achieve this goal.
Our main partners include national foundations and NGOs, as well as prestigious international foundations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Aga Khan Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; UN agencies such as the UN refugee aid agency, UNHCR; and initiatives such as the alliance for child vaccination, known as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
