We accompany life up until the very last moment.

With the Comprehensive care for advanced diseases programme, we work to provide the necessary psychological, social and spiritual aid for patients and their families, as an additional support to their healthcare.

We also have the End of life and loneliness programme, which connects volunteers with people who are facing the end of their lives and need some affection and support, with five ”la Caixa” Foundation Espai centres to make the time spent in hospital more humane, and the School for carers, which offers training for both carers and volunteers.

Humaniza, in Portugal

The Comprehensive care for people with advanced diseases programme is also present in Portugal through Humaniza, consolidating the work of the 11 psychosocial care teams and 5 palliative care community teams that work there.
