Child Survival Call 2026

What we do

Through the Child Survival Call we help to improve child survival in sub-Saharan African countries with a high burden of maternal and child mortality.

The Call is in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #3 which aims, among other targets, to end preventable deaths of newborns and children under 5 years of age by 2030 and to reduce the global maternal mortality ratio, as well as SDG #17 which encourages and promotes partnerships to achieve the SDGs.

Who it's for

The Call is aimed at networks of three to five entities that include Spanish, Portuguese and/or international non-profit organisations. All projects must have at least one entity from the country of implementation.

Accreditation and submitting projects

To submit a project, the applicant organisation must be accredited via the Call Application but first it must register someone as the manager for this organisation.

If your organisation has already submitted a project to another ”la Caixa” Foundation call via this Call Application, it will already be accredited and you'll only have to check whether any of the official documents need updating.

Registering the manager

Managers can be registered at any time by providing the information requested and uploading the following documentation:

• Identity card, foreign resident card or equivalent ID, currently valid (copy of both sides of the document).

• Document accrediting the manager as the representative of the organisation, signed by the latter's legal representative (a model can be downloaded from the Call Application).

The submission procedure cannot continue until ”la Caixa” Foundation has approved the manager's registration. It's therefore important to register as soon as possible since such validation may take up to 3 working days.

Once the manager has been registered, the procedure for accrediting the organisation and submitting the application can begin.

Accrediting the organisation

To accredit the organisation, the manager must provide basic information and upload the following documents:

• Copy of the organisation's tax ID.

• Copy of the organisation's entry in the official register of the corresponding autonomous region.

• Deed of incorporation of the organisation including the articles of association. The deed of incorporation and articles of association must be currently in force and entered in the corresponding register.

Submitting the application

The application must be submitted online via the form provided on the Call Application.

The application must be completed with all the information requested in the form and the process must be carried out before the call's deadline.

It is advisable to submit your application well in advance, as it is not guaranteed that technical issues may be resolved in time in the previous days before the closing date of the call.

No information or documentation provided externally to the application or outside the application period will be accepted.
