We support social innovation initiatives that create opportunities for the most vulnerable people in countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

What we do

The International Cooperation call aims to contribute towards reducing poverty and inequality in countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America through social innovation initiatives that create opportunities for the most vulnerable people and promote systemic change in local communities.

It includes social innovation tools applied to development, such as listening, co-creation, prototyping and scaling up to encourage community involvement and equitable, sustainable development.

Who's it for

The following organisations can submit applications to the call:

  • Non-profit organisations.

  • Social economy organisations (such as foundations, associations, cooperatives, etc.) whose statutes explicitly state, among their purposes, the promotion of international development cooperation.

Applicants must also meet the following requirements:

  • Be legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry with domicile in Spanish or Portuguese territory and have as its institutional purpose the carrying out of activities related to international cooperation for development.

  • Provide proof of a total annual income for the year 2025 of less than 2 million euros.

  • Provide proof of a minimum of three years' documented experience in international cooperation activities.

  • Have a local partner in the country where the project will be carried out.

Where are we

Projects may be implemented in countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America with a low or medium Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI) and significant rates of poverty.
