Europe-LAC Silver Economy Forum - "la Caixa" Foundation
Increasing life expectancy is transforming the world and Latin America and the Caribbean are no exception. By 2050 this region, known for being relatively youthful, will see its older population double, putting a strain on its already overburdened health and social service systems. Meanwhile Europe, with almost a third of its population approaching 65 or more, will also face economic and social challenges stemming from a declining workforce. This event is a unique opportunity to forge global alliances and strengthen connections, sharing the ideas, lessons learned and innovative solutions that have been pioneered in both regions. The Inter-American Development Bank and ”la Caixa” Foundation invite you to this event to promote, together, a global development agenda on longevity. The future needs us all!
